Brief Description of the Job: Health & Safety Officer

•  Provides the necessary advice to the Site Manager / Engineer  on job site health and safety issues.

•  Monitors compliance to the Company HSMS by conducting regular inspections and internal auditing.

•  Undertakes as a minimum a weekly safety inspection and prepares a report for submittal and review with the Site Manager.

•  Conduct a daily tour of the working areas and log details of the observations on the Daily basis. Unsafe conditions and unsafe acts are to be actioned immediately. Raise Near Miss / Incident

•  Reports when highlighted.

•  Assist the Site Manager / Engineer and coordinator in undertaking risk assessments and identifying safe systems of work to be recorded in safe work method statements.

•  Develop and deliver internal training courses on health and safety topics to the site team.

•  Review subcontractor Health & Safety plans.

•  Be able to conduct toolbox talk


•  University Graduate

•  Suitable and relevant Health & Safety Management qualification with NEBOSH general certificate.

•  At least 5 years of experience as an HSE Officer

•  Minimum 3 years working experience in the UAE.

•  Experience of site inspection

•  Must understand and have worked in workshop safety.

•  Thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation (UAE Legislation)

•  Ability to translate health and safety legislation into effective policies and procedures whilst meeting the needs of the organization.

•  Experience of development and review of services to meet the needs of the organization.
